I just had to show these two quilts. I’m so happy to have been the maker of the first one, and the quilter of the second one.
After choosing the fabrics for this one, the block construction process began. My design wall is nowhere near big enough when I’m doing an on-point setting. BUT, I figured it out, as you’ll see:
Two views of the quilt before adding the strip pieced corners. This was a great pattern and I’m sure I’ll make it again. Grayce had asked for these colors for her ‘big girl’ quilt. I hope she likes it as much as her mom and I do. Sometimes stepping out of my comfort zone is soooo refreshing.
All trimmed after getting longarm stitched. Binding has been added. It was done with left over scraps.
And a close up of the quilting design called Trillium. The gold thread played beautifully with all the other fabric choices. I really enjoyed every step of making this one.
This quilt top was brought to me to longarm for giving to one of the charity projects for my local quilt guild. It is an amazingly beautiful paper pieced quilt top. I chose an orange thread.
